FAQ

Is there a registration fee to attend the 2021 SpEC GMM?

No, there is no fee to attend the SpEC GMM but registration is required and closes at 11:59 pm PT on Friday, October 8. Click here to register.

Is the 2021 GMM an in-person or virtual event?

This event is hosted both in person at the LAX Marriott and offered virtually. For those in the latter camp, we are streaming the event. You'll select how you'll participate on the registration form. In fact, you should register now!

How does the virtual program work?

We're finalizing the platform we'll use to stream the event, and more information will be available closer to the program.

Where is the event held?

The 2021 program takes place at the LAX Marriott. (5855 West Century Boulevard Los Angeles, California 90045)

What is the dress code?

Business casual please. Those in Government should wear the uniform of the day (Class A or Service Dress).

Does registering for the GMM also book my hotel room?

Registering for the GMM and reserving a hotel room are two unique processes. Click here to register for the GMM. Click here to reserve your hotel room at the discounted rate.

Are the GMM and Space Industry Days the same?

No. The SpEC GMM is only for SpEC members and takes place on Tuesday, October 19. Space Industry Days is an event hosted by AFCEA on October 20 and 21. The events are held in the same location to help maximize your travel budget and time away from the office. Click here for more information about Space Industry Days.

What is the B2B Networking Activity on Monday, October 18?

This event is only available for in-person attendees. We added the Monday B2B networking portion to help jumpstart the relationship building and nurturing that typically happens at the GMM. The event is completely optional. We'll have additional networking activities (and possibly prizes) throughout the day on Tuesday.

Do we need to wear face masks at the event?

In following with U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations and local guidelines, all SpEC GMM participants are required to wear a face mask. We are working closely with the LAX Marriott and local public health authorities to provide a safe environment for all attendees. Efforts include thorough cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces throughout the venue and numerous sanitizing stations.
